BMt: Statistical Neighbour benchmarking
How do I get a breakdown of statistical neighbour data in the Benchmarking Tool? Do I have to choose each LA individually and note the results?

Data to Insight is not a software supplier in the traditional sense -- we're here to help local authority (LA) colleagues get work done and share it with each other. The best thing about Data to Insight is the community of analysts who are doing and sharing great work through this network.
We recognise that different LAs want different levels of engagement with our work. As such, we offer four key collaboration approaches to suit different users’ information needs.

How do I get a breakdown of statistical neighbour data in the Benchmarking Tool? Do I have to choose each LA individually and note the results?
You can do this but it is a bit fiddly. Here are a couple of options:
1. Use one of the data tabs (SingleYear_Data, SingleYear_Quartiles or 5YearTrends) to find the indicator code for the measure you want (e.g. B1.02A) and paste this into cell P4 of the "CreateCustomGroup" tab, then filter by column C to only include your SNs in the list. Column P will then show the separate figures you want for the most recent year.
2. Unhide the hidden tab Data_AllLAs and use the same indicator code (indexed on this tab in row 5) to find the data column you want, then use the filter in cell A9 to select "Yes" so that the table shows only your SNs.
Having just written out these instructions, it occurs to me that there's no reason we couldn't add that column from the hidden tab onto the "CreateCustomGroup" tab, which might be easier to use than either of the options which currently exist.
